Our Memorial Day Ceremony is held in conjuction with V.F.W. Post 6563, American Legion Post 772, American Legion Post 262, American Legion Post 497 and Green Acres Memorial Park FD1248 11715 Cedar Ave. Bloomington, Ca. 92316.
We hold Memorial Day Ceremony the Last Monday of the month of May which will be May 26 2008 at 11:00am at Green Acres Memorial Park around the Memory Terrace Mausoleum. The Ceremony is put together by Allen Campbell with veterans of the area. All who participate in program do so by volunteering.
All that is done is for all the Veterans who come before us.
We have been using Jr. ROTC's in our area to be included in our program. The Jr. ROTC's start the program with a Color Guard, then bring the American Flag unfolded to the front then fold the flag with the folding of the flag speech. At the end ot the program the cadets have a eight person team using the M-1's we have been loaned from the Goverment fire three volleys followed by taps.
We are very proud of all the Jr. ROTC Units in our area.
